Stashbusting Sewalong

Just what I needed for my little fabric hoarding situation.  My goal is to end up with more projects completed than fabric in my stash by the end of this challenge.  Soon I will post pictures of all of the fabric laying about and go into what I want to make.  

Seam Busting

Fabric: Old shirts $0

Notions: Elastic 50 cents?

Cost: $9.50

Time: maybe 1 1/2 hrs? including cutting

Year: 2012

Wear again: yeah...

I was surprised at how easy it comes together and other than there not being an XL size I have no complaints.  I did e-mail Sarah saying that it would be nice if she could add bigger sizes to her current and/or future patterns.  She said that she had no plans to do that at the moment, but that it was in consideration.  However, she did say that the pattern is very easy to grade up by adding to the side seams, which I plan on doing.  I made the pattern as is, decreasing the seam allowance to figure out what adjustments need to be done.  I definitely will be making more with the adjustments mentioned above.

Sewist's Secret Santa

Here are the awesome goodies I got from my not so secret santa Claire.  I know maybe I was not supposed to find out, but isn't that the fun part of secrets...? ;)

Isn't that beautifully handmade ham just yummy?  Rhetorical question.  Ohhh and pretty stickers to sew onto my makes.  Also, let's not forget the humongous lollipop that was instantly devoured by my twins (ok, I helped).  Thank you Kat, for setting this up!
